Founded in Copenhagen in 2011, We Do Wood seamlessly merges contemporary Danish design with unwavering sustainability principles. Their mission is clear and impactful: to create high-quality furniture that is both functionally and aesthetically honest. Driven by a strong sense of responsibility towards future generations, We Do Wood strives to make a significant positive impact through its innovative designs.
Designed by the renowned studio Hans Thyge & Co, the Ceppo Collection epitomizes We Do Wood’s commitment to sustainability and design excellence. Hans Thyge & Co, established in 1990, is celebrated for its creative and bold approach to design, with a deep respect for tradition and innovation.
The Ceppo Collection features round stools, coffee tables, tray tables, and side tables with integrated storage, all reflecting We Do Wood’s distinctive aesthetic. These versatile pieces are adaptable to various spaces in your home, and the collection includes versions with veneered tops, ideal for use as standard side or coffee tables.
What makes the Ceppo Collection unique is its construction. The base consists of two half-round plywood shells, joined by a discreet brass fitting. This detail offers a nostalgic nod to old barrels or jewelry buttons, adding character while maintaining a sleek Danish design tradition. The pieces are striking and refined, making them ideal for modern interiors.
The collection’s upholstery is crafted from recycled fabrics, including special editions from the small crafts weaving factory Kjellerup Væveri. This Jutland-based mill, rooted in Nordic textile tradition since the 1950s, is renowned for its dedication to craftsmanship and quality. The table tops are available in veneer and marble stone, while the wood surfaces are treated with linseed oil for enhanced durability and a rich finish.
