Herbert Bayer
Herbert Bayer was an Austrian-American painter, sculptor, graphic designer, art director and architect, who was widely recognized as a major figure in the field of graphic design. As a leading member of the Bauhaus school, Bayer helped to develop a distinctive approach to design that combined elements of both fine art and craft. His work ranged from painting and sculpture to graphic design and architecture, and he is perhaps best known for his iconic "Bauhaus" style typeface.
