Muuto Design Contest 2024 – Unleashing Creativity in Home Accessories

The Danish brand is inviting designers to participate in the Muuto Design Contest 2024, encouraging the creation of innovative small furniture and home accessories.

“Part of Muuto’s DNA is searching for new perspectives, and we want to challenge ourselves and collaborate with creative minds from around the globe,” says Line Brockmann Juhl, Chief Marketing Officer. This contest provides a platform for designers to present unique and functional pieces—think vases, stools, and coat stands—that enhance and personalize living spaces.

A distinguished jury, including Ivy Ross, Vice President of Design for Hardware Products at Google, Josephine Akvama Hoffmeyer of File Under Pop, and Jamie Wolfond of Jamie Wolfond Studio, will judge the entries. These experts bring extensive experience and a keen eye for innovative design, ensuring that the winning pieces will lead future home décor trends.

Participants are encouraged to explore new materials, shapes, and craftsmanship, pushing the boundaries of traditional design. Muuto seeks designs that elevate everyday objects while maintaining high standards of usability and durability.Designers from all backgrounds are welcome to participate. The winners will be announced at 3daysofdesign 2025 in Copenhagen- The first prize includes the chance to exhibit at this prestigious event, with the possibility of production with Muuto. Note that submissions falling under the lighting category are not accepted.
